Description: We reviewed and qualified the detail engineering, document management, reception and commissioning tests, supplier contract management, progress certificates and environmental, health and safety management of the following works: expansion of Vivorata (500/132 kV), Bahía Blanca (500 kV), Mar del Plata (132 kV), Balcarce and Necochea ETs; recovery of the Villa Gesell (132 kV) ET and 132 double circuit lines.
Technical and economic audit of TRANSBA S.A. Argentina
Client: TRANSBA S.A.
Description: We performed the technical and economic audit of the goods affected to the public service of trunk energy distribution; developed physical inventory of goods, survey of the network technical conditions, analysed the obsolescence and depreciation status; and assessed goods rationality according to the design criteria of an efficient network and its quality.

Description: We carried out the following tasks: project engineering review; inspection and quality audit of the works of the 500 kV LEAT and the Transformer Stations; Quality audits in EETT equipment factories and LEAT supplies: contract follow-up and Work scheduling, as well as of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management program

Supervision / Inspection of Roca Railroad Electrification Works: Constitución – La Plata Branch. Argentina
Client: Argentine Ministry of Transport / UEC and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Description: We performed the inspection installation and power supply by Catenaria in 2×25 kV double track system between stations Empalme Pavón (km 3,9) and La Plata (km 53,000), auxiliary and protection facilities; inspection of the installation of medium voltage lines: single-phase 2×13.2 kV (signal line) for signage and 3×13.2 kV three-phase line for motive power (stations, workshops, etc.), its auxiliary and protection facilities; inspection of the construction of a new Quilmes 132/50/25 / 13,2 kV Electrical Substation, five posts of self-transformation and sectioning, its auxiliary and protection facilities. New Remote Control System.
Roca Railroad Civil Works Supervision, Constitución – La Plata Branch. Argentina
Client: Argentine Ministry of Transport / UEC and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Description: We performed the supervision of civil works in the construction of an overpass viaduct between the Ringuelet and Tolosa stations. New deposit for electric cars. Construction of underpasses in La Plata. Works for accessibility and improvement of public space, integration with other means of transport and station functionalities, including elevation of the platforms.

T&D Regulatory and Tariff Studies

Panama: 2018-2022 Tariff studies
Client: ENSA, energy distribution company of Panama.
Description: We performed technical and economic studies to establish the next tariff structure, verifying that the formulas defined recognize efficiency criteria in accordance with the economic and social reality of the company’s concession area, as well as the new technologies of intelligent networks and distributed generation.
Chile: 2015 – 2018 Trunk Transmission Study
Client: National Energy Commission (CNE)
Description: We identified the initial trunk systems, the A.V.I. and COMA (Annuity of the facility investment value and Investment Costs) and the operation, maintenance and administration costs per section of the facilities belonging to those trunk systems, and the common influence area. We also identified alternatives for future extensions of the initial trunk systems and the new trunk transmission works.
Guatemala: Preparation of distribution added value studies DAVS for energy distribution companies EEGSA, DEOCSA and DEORSA.
Client: National Electric Energy Commission (CNEE)
Description: We carried out the following tasks: demand study, determination of efficient values, optimization of the distribution network, energy and power balance, DAV component, and definition of the tariff schedule, among others.

Argentina: Wind-Electricity Map of Buenos Aires
Client: UCOP – PROINGED
Description: We developed a pre-feasibility tool that allows identifying regions with both wind energy generation potential and capacity availability in the electricity network. We analysed the sub-transmission network and identified the nodes in the high and medium voltage systems that could be an opportunity to channel investments on wind farms of different scales. At the same time, we identified exclusion zones.
Bolivia: Electric interconnection of Bolivia with bordering countries
Client: Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) with Bolivia’s Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy
Description: We identified, quantified and evaluated export markets that allow the development of electricity generation projects in Bolivia oriented to the export of power energy, as well as the associated interconnections that allow to dispatch and receive energy.
Andean Community: Electricity Interconnection Planning and Regulatory Harmonization
Client: Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
Description: We worked on the regional electricity integration of all participating countries, to maximize the economic benefits of the whole region. The study was carried out considering the following analysis; Bilateral electricity interconnection solutions between countries; Regional electricity interconnection, including the previous ones plus necessary reinforcement works in the national networks to increase the whole transmission capacity; Sustainable alternatives of the Andean Electricity Interconnection by considering a multidimensional analysis (technical, economic, social, environmental, institutional, political, regulatory, etc.). In addition, we developed a proposal for regulatory harmonization to allow the interconnection of the Andean countries in a non-discriminatory, efficient and sustainable way.

México: Economic Optimization of the Electricity Sector
Client: SENER
Description: We provided recommendations and proposals for the new market structure proposed by SENER. This included the analysis of the following aspects; Regulation and payment process required to ensure continued operation of the electricity sector during the transition process; market regulations and other transitional rules; financial flow projections among the CFE business units, financial results of each CFE unit under the proposed market structure and during the transition period, as well as estimates of tariff levels for end users during the transition period.
Argentina: Energy efficiency in the city of Buenos Aires
Client: IFC
Description: We reviewed the energy efficiency in the city public buildings. We collected data in 50 buildings to validate objectives, diagnoses and preliminary studies; assessed economic-financial models for the different replacement technologies; analysed the financial needs for each alternative and sources of financing available and recommended the optimal options given the costs and impacts for the implementation of each alternative.
